The meeting was held within the framework of the course “Investigative Journalism” delivered by the university professor Gigla Gobechia.
The invited guests shared their own journalistic experience with students. They introduced all the details accompanying investigative journalism.
The meeting followed the dialogue format. The students specializing in journalism asked numerous questions to investigators among them were questions like: how to interact with sources, what kind of ethical norms are there, how a journalist acts in case of a threat and what principles are used to prepare investigative material.
The invited guests also placed emphasis on the importance of writing skills.
Lia Toklikishvili’s and Maya Gogoladze’s new film “Risky Games with the Vere Continues” from their programme “Investigator Reporter” was shown during the meeting and it provoked additional interest.
A desire to further collaborate, which envisages organizing joint projects and offering students internships, was expressed at the meeting.
Professor Gigla Gobechia showed the guests the infrastructure of the University Multimedia Centre.
