“The North Atlantic Treaty Organization – NATO, has run out of its sources in fight against Terrorism” – this is a resolution on which Caucasus International University students – Eka Papunashvili and Demetre Lomadze organized “Debates” within the framework of the project “Student Life 2016”.
In the above given activity two teams – Affirmative and Negative – opposed each other. The affirmative party was represented by Bakur Bhubulava, Demna Shonia and Gela Pitskhelauri, as for the Negative – Nino Pilpani, Jemar Kontselidze and Salome Zurabiani.
The debated followed Karl Popper Debate Format.
Oratorical skills, presenting strong arguments and rejecting criterion of opposing party were emphasized while assessing the participants.
The winner team, which was the Affirmative party, was announced towards the end of the meeting. In addition the best speaker was named. Bakur Khubulava was awarded this title.
We would like to remind you that the winners of “Student Life 2016” will participate in “Student Days” on behalf of Caucasus International University.
The next activity of the project will be held on 8 April at 18:00. Event venue is CIU Conference Hall (room 305). Clubs of the Funny and Inventive People will participate.
