Office of Polish Language and Culture Opened at CIU
Office of Polish Language and Culture was opened at Caucasus international University by Vakhtang Tsivtsivadze, CIU Chancellor and Marcin Zhohovska, a representative of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland.
The main objective of the office is to facilitate the development of Polish-Georgian mutual collaboration. CIU Chancellor congratulated the attending audience, guests and students with the opening of the office during his speech. In addition, he expressed his hope that they will offer a lot of interesting projects and activities. Marina Gedevanishvili, Deputy Rector and the head of Quality Assurance Service introduced the history of the university foundation and development.
It is worth mentioning that Caucasus International University has been offering free courses in Polish language for two years.
Within the frameworks of the opening ceremony, CIU students made presentations and showed video materials to the audience.
Marcin Zhohovska expressed his hope that the office will be additional motive for students to study Polish language. He presented a book depicting the life of Polish artists living in Georgia to CIU Chancellor.
Thematic photos have already been displayed and course books are available which will enable students and lecturers to work unhindered.
