The Centre of Electoral Systems Development, Reforms and Trainings of the Central Election Commission of Georgia have organized the second qualifying round of the intellectual competition at CEC Meeting Room.
The meeting was organized within the frameworks of the training centre project “Students Debate-Club”. In the debates Caucasus International University and Sulkhan-Saba Orbeliani University students opposed each other. Students of the latter university have succeeded with a slight advantage.
The topic of the second debate was: “The Citizens Should Be Granted the Right to Vote after 16”. The intellectual competition committee made up of seven people was evaluating teams during the three rounds.
After the completion of the debates CEC chairperson and director of the Training Centre awarded the winners.
The final of “Students Debates” will be held in September.
Project participant students did the semester studies in the field of election law at the university.
We would like to remind you that the Training Centre has been organizing similar events since 2012.
