National Centre of Manuscripts has organized the award ceremony of the winners and finalist of the competition “Georgian calligraphy”. Within the frameworks of the competition, partner organizations, universities and state structures have chosen their favorites. Caucasus International University has named Temo Kakhelishvili as a favorite. If he decides to enter CIU, the university will offer a grant for one academic year. The competition of Georgian Calligraphy is taking place for the fifth time. Emigrants, teachers and students living in the conflict region of Abkhazia have participated in the competition for the first time this year. The exhibition of the calligraphy samples, presentation of the film and album – “Georgian Calligraphy” was organized at the award ceremony. In total 931 people have participated in the competition. Only 50 competitors moved into the final.
