During the conferences the speeches were delivered by: Kakhaber Kordzaia, Rector of Caucasus International University, Boris Iaroshevich, Deputy Head of EU Mission in Georgia, Jonas Paslauskas, Ambassador of Republic of Lithuania in Georgia, Emilia Matsani, Acting Attorney of Ukrainian Issues in Georgia, Deborah Buschor, representative of the Swiss Embassy, John McDonald, a Chairperson of the Institute for Multi-Track Diplomacy and Paata Zakareisvili, State Minister.
At the plenary session the presenters were: Dimitri Tretyakov, representative of the Embassy of Ukraine, Aleksandre Rusetski, Director of Caucasus Institute of Regional Security, and Vakhtang Maisaia, Deputy Director of Research Centre for Terrorism and Political Violence.
Top-ranked experts, diplomatic corps accredited in Georgia and representatives of public and state organizations of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Turkey, Georgia and Russia were engaged in the work of the round-table.
“We organize monthly, international round-table meetings dedicated to different issues which are of great interest for OSCE and the region. Today’s conference was dedicated to the issues of peace and conflict resolution in Caucasus. We are pleased that John McDonald paid a visit to our university” – stated Prof. Kakhaber Kordzaia, Rector of Caucasus International University.
CIU acknowledges the importance of such events for future diplomats and conflict experts, therefore the university will organize similar meetings on a permanent basis.
