Who can apply for a doctoral program?
A person holding the Master’s degree or with an equal academic degree has the right to study for a doctorate.
What is the procedure for enrolling, studying and completing a doctoral program?
The duration of the doctoral educational program is 3 years and includes study and research components. In addition, a PhD student must meet the minimum academic standards, which include the publication of the research findings in the form of scientific articles in high-impact scientific journals in the process of working on the dissertation thesis, as well as participation in international scientific conferences.
The doctoral program is completed with the defense of the dissertation by the doctoral student in his/her specific specialty. Upon successful defense, the Dissertation Council of the Faculty awards the academic degree of Doctor.
Why is academic degree of Doctor important?
A Doctorate Degree is the highest academic degree that allows a person to hold the academic position of Professor, Associate Professor or Assistant Professor in a higher education institution, as well as to pursue a career in another position where a Doctoral degree is required.
