On February 7, on the second day of the “Winter School of Diplomacy and International Relations” of Caucasus International University, the participants attended the lecture delivered by Professor Zurab Khonelidze, Rector of Sukhumi State University, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary.
The speaker discussed the Georgian paradigm of peace. He reviewed what diplomacy is and what a university is; What they have in common and how they can be united for peace and development. In addition, he spoke about the history and modernity of Georgian diplomacy; on the function and role of Georgia in the modern world, opportunities and challenges in this direction. The second part of the lecture continued with question-answer mode and active discussion.
The second half of the day was dedicated to Tamar Kiknadze, Doctor of Political Sciences, Associate Professor of Caucasus International University, who spoke about the discipline of international relations. She reviewed its history and contemporary topical issues from regional and international politics, and in the second part of the meeting she answered the audience’s questions.
We would like to remind you that around 50 students from different universities throughout Georgia take part in the “Winter School of Diplomacy and International Relations”. Practicing lecturers and experts in the field give lectures on foreign policy, diplomacy, security, conflicts and other relevant field issues during 5 days and the last day of the school is dedicated to field activities.
