Public Lecture on the Topic: Application and Importance of Double Taxation Agreements in International Taxation Practice

A public lecture the topic: The Application and Importance of Double Taxation Agreements in International Taxation Practice, organized by CIU Faculty of Business and Technology, was held at Caucasus International University, on November 22.

The lecture was conducted by Ketevan Ghambashidze – MBA, PhD(c) - Head of Tax Division at Grant Thornton, Georgia, Certified Auditor, Registered Auditor by the Accounting, Reporting and Audit Oversight Service. With 17+ years of experience in taxation, accounting, tax litigation, auditing, management consulting, financial management and control.

The trainer spoke about the legal framework of double taxation agreements, the significance and role of the agreements in deepening the economic cooperation of the state and developing investment attraction.

The issue of applying agreements in international practice was discussed. Also, a number of important articles and practical examples were analyzed.
