Caucasus International University students of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities visited Information Center on NATO and EU within the framework of Georgian Diplomacy Week on November 9.
Students attended a public lecture delivered by Davit Bujiashvili, Director of the EU Assistance Coordination and Sectoral Integration Department under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, on the topic: “Dynamics of EU-Georgia Cooperation, Prospects of European Integration of Georgia”.
Within the framework of the lecture, the speaker reviewed the policy of the European Union in relation to Georgia, the country’s path to full membership of the European Union and the relevant reforms. In addition, the positive recommendation of the European Commission regarding the status of a candidate country for EU membership, state policy and further steps in this direction were mentioned, and in the second half of the meeting, Davit Bujiashvili answered the students’ questions.
The public lecture was moderated by the director of the Information Center on NATO and the European Union, Tamara Tsuleiskiri.
“Georgian Diplomacy Week” organized by Caucasus International University aims to develop students’ professional skills in the diplomatic direction.
The week is dedicated to the Day of Georgian Diplomacy, which is associated with the great Georgian diplomat, Sulkhan-Saba Orbeliani.
