An international scientific conference - Biodiversity, Conservation and Use of Agricultural Plants and Animals was organized by the Academy of Agricultural Sciences of Georgia and with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia and Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation of Georgia on October 4-5.
The results of the research conducted by the group of viticulture and winemaking scientists of Caucasus International University were presented at the conference. Shengeli Kikilashvili, research worker of CIU Faculty of Viticulture and Winemaking presented a paper on the topic: Forest (wild) Vine Vitis vinifera ssp. sylvestris Gmel Study in Georgia.
The President of the Georgian Natioanl Academy of Science - Roin Metreveli, the President of the Georgian Academy of Agricultural Sciences - Givi Japaridze, the Deputy Minister of Environment Protection and Agriculture Apolon Kakabadze and other invited guests gave a welcome speeches at the meeting and highlighted the significance of biodiversity.
At the plenary session, CIU professor, director of the Scientific Research Center of Agriculture, Levan Ujmajuridze presented a paper at the conference.
