On March 20, the Tourism Lab of the Faculty of Business and Technology at Caucasus International University hosted a public lecture on the topic “Travel as Cognition”.
The lecture was delivered by Giorgi Pareshishvili, Advisor to the Rector of Caucasus International University and Chairman of Niko Nikoladze Society.
Before the start of the lecture, the event began with a welcome address by Lali Mikeladze, Head of CIU Bachelor’s Educational Program in Tourism and the Tourism Lab. She discussed current trends in the tourism sector and highlighted the significance of the lecture.
Giorgi Pareshishvili, who has traveled all over the world and has visited 76 countries, shared with the audience the amazing stories from his journeys, and placed emphasis on the significance of the world cognition. “Traveling around the world has made me realize that we have so many reasons to be proud of our homeland. Traveling helps us see the fragments that set us apart from the rest of the world,” he noted.
In the second part of the event, the speaker answered students’ questions and shared travel tips.
Towards the end of the lecture, Ketevan Nanobashvili, the Dean of CIU Faculty of Business and Technology, thanked the speaker for the interesting lecture and expressed her willingness to collaborate with him in the future.
