A memorandum of understanding was signed between Caucasus International University and “Fintech Association of Georgia” on December 19.
The document aims at the development of financial technologies with the active involvement of students, as well as support for joint projects and research.
The memorandum of understanding was signed by Kakhaber Kordzaia, the rector of Caucasus International University and Davit Kikvidze, the chair of the supervisory board of the “Fintech Association of Georgia”.
The presentation of the “Fintech Laboratory” project of Caucasus International University was held within the framework of the day.
The meeting was opened by Kakhaber Kordzaia, the rector of Caucasus International University and the event was chaired by Marika Kldiashvili, the dean of the Faculty of Business and Technology. The dean, together with the chairperson of “Fintech Association of Georgia” Davit Kikvidze, reviewed the relevance of the creation of the university “Fintech Laboratory” and its tasks.
Iako Jikia, Director of Business Development and Operations of United Payment Georgia gave a presentation on financial technologies to the audience. In addition, Irina Aleksishvili, Head of Remote Banking Department of Pasha/Re-bank, Irakli Tsurtsumia, Deputy Executive Director of Eurocredit, Mikheil Demetrashvili, representative of “All Pay Way” company, and Ucha Dzimistarishvili, partner of CCLA - legal Consulting Agency, spoke about the field.
Administrative/academic staff and students of CIU Faculty of Business and Technology attended the meeting.
