A hall named after Zhiuli Shartava was opened at Caucasus International University in connection with the 30th anniversary of the end of the war in Abkhazia and the 80th anniversary of the birth of the national hero of Georgia, Zhiuli Shartava, on September 25.
According to Giorgi Pareshishvili, Advisor to the Rector of Caucasus International University and moderator of the event, such initiatives will remind the next generation of how many sacrifices Georgian compatriots made for the honor and freedom of the motherland.
According to Ruslan Abashidze, the Chairperson of the Government of the Autonomous Republic of Abkhazia, this initiative is encouraged, because similar projects support the peace policy that is implemented by the state.
