The Karl Popper Debate format was held by the organization of CIU Student Self-Governance Education Committee. Four teams made up of three students from various faculties participated in the game. Eventually, two teams – Triple and Illuminators moved to the final.

The finalists discussed such issue as: should church interfere in state affairs or not?
Illuminators (Giga Gogua, Kote Ebralidze, Nikoloz Mzhavanadze) was named as the winner of the debate by the decision of the committee and Nikoloz Mzhavanadze got the status of the winner debater. At the end of the season, the winner team and the debater will be awarded books and cash prize.
We would like to remind you that in Karl Popper Debate Format, the participant teams are given 5 minutes in order to present the resolution and 3 minutes are allocated for cross-questioning.
The debate participants receive the topics to be discussed in advance in order to prepare for the game properly. However, they learn about their position on the day of the debate: Affirmative or negative.
Bakur Khubulava and Eter Khanjaliashvili are the members of the committee and organizers.
