On February 10, Caucasus International University hosted the second day of the “International Scientific Conference on Innovation and Entrepreneurship”.
Conference participants presented papers in five work sections: Modern Approaches to Entrepreneurship Development and Practical Challenges; Best Practices and Obstacles to the Development of an Entrepreneurial University (Head of sections - Thea Kasradze, Professor, Caucasus International University / deputy - Rusudan Dalakishvili, Associate Professor, National Defense Academy of Georgia); Radical and Incremental Innovations in Entrepreneurship; Innovations, Technology Transfer and Development of Technological Entrepreneurship; Scaling and Internationalization of Entrepreneurship (Head of sections - Thea Lazarashvili, Associate Professor, Caucasus International University / deputy - Nino Samchkuashvili, Associate Professor, National University of Georgia).
The conference participants were welcomed by the Dean of the Faculty of Business and Technology of Caucasus International University, the head of the conference project - Marika Kldiashvili, and at the end, the speakers were awarded the appropriate certificate.
Within the framework of the day, a fair of local entrepreneurs’ products was held. The following companies were represented at the event: “Bocacello”; “Charosa”; “Malenta”; “Sweet or Spicy”; “Chizuka”; “Your Choice”; “History of Vine”; “Veleula”; “Door of Tbilisi”; “Fertso”; “Agrippa”; “Refresh”; “Maraka”; “Unique”; “Handicraft”; “Urban”; “Halo”; “Royal Honey”; “Handylux”; “Embroidery”; “Odela”.
Please note, the International Scientific Conference on Innovation and Entrepreneurship lasts for three days, and the concluding activities will be hosted by the Iacob Gogebashvili Telavi State University.
The aim of the event is to promote the development and internationalization of the latest scientific research on innovation and entrepreneurship in Georgia.
About 140 participants from different countries and universities are involved in the conference, as well as state and private business structures of Georgia.
The project is financed by Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation of Georgia, and Caucasus International University is the host of the event, the leading and co-sponsoring organization of the project.
The following organizations are involved in the conference as co-participating organizations: School of Entrepreneurship University of Alcalá (Spain) and Deggendorf Institute of Technology (Germany); Project partners are: “Make in Georgia” agency, Small and Medium Enterprise Development Association (SMEDA), UN Global Compact Network Georgia, financial education portal “Finedu” and Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University.
