The contest I is announced on July 19, 2024.

In order to qualify for the academic position, applicants must submit the following documents from August 20 to August, 2024 to the committee:

1. Statement to the contest committee, by indicating relevant field of study and academic position;
2. Autobiography (CV);
3. A copy of ID;
4. One photo;
5. Notarized copies of every educational documentation verifying the qualification;
6. Educational document/s issued in a foreign country must be accompanied by a document of recognition in accordance with Georgian legislation;
7. Document/s certifying scientific-pedagogical experience;
8. List of scientific publications published during the last 5 years;
9. Copies of certificates verifying participation in local and international conferences, seminars and trainings (under equal conditions preference will be given to candidates with more local and international conferences, seminars and trainings);
10. Copies of documents certifying international scholarships and grants (if applicable);
11. Certificate of conviction for a crime against sexual freedom and inviolability.

In order to qualify for the academic position of Professor, the following documents are required:

1. Academic degree of Doctor (PhD) or its equivalent academic degree;
2. At least 6 years scientific-pedagogic experience at higher educational institution;
3. A list of scientific papers published in the relevant specialty/field during the last 5 years, indicating the name of the journal and the exact date (under equal conditions, priority will be given to the contestant who has more publications published abroad);
4. Participation in local and international conferences, seminars and trainings during the last 5 years (under equal conditions preference will be given to candidates with more local and international conferences, seminars and trainings, scientific scholarships and grants);
5. Copies of documents certifying international scholarships and grants (if applicable);
6. The concept of the development of the educational program / programs, in the implementation of which the contestant wishes to participate;
7. The vision of the courses that the applicant is willing to deliver after occupying academic position;
8. Practical experience in working on educational program and syllabus;
9. Under equal conditions, preference will be given to the contestant with professional work experience in a specific field;
10. Under equal conditions, preference will be given to the contestant whose English language proficiency is confirmed.

In order to qualify for the academic position of Associate Professor, the following documents are required:

1. Academic degree of Doctor (PhD) or its equivalent academic degree;
2. At least 3 years scientific-pedagogic experience at higher educational institution;
3. Author/coauthor of scientific papers published in the relevant specialty/field during the last 5 years (under equal conditions, priority will be given to the contestant who has more publications published abroad);
4. Participation in local and international conferences, seminars and trainings during the last 5 years (under equal conditions preference will be given to candidates with more local and international conferences, seminars and trainings, scientific scholarships and grants);
5. The vision of the courses that the applicant is willing to deliver after occupying academic position;
6. Practical experience in working on educational program and syllabus;
7. Under equal conditions, preference will be given to the contestant with professional work experience in a specific field;
8. Under equal conditions, preference will be given to the contestant whose English language proficiency is confirmed.
9. Applicants for the academic position of Associate Professor in the disciplines of clinical medicine must have:

Experience of working in the clinic for the last 5 years;

Certificate in relevant/adjacent specialty.

In order to qualify for the academic position of Assistant Professor, the following documents are required:

1. Academic degree of Doctor (PhD) or its equivalent academic degree;
2. Author/coauthor of scientific papers published in the relevant specialty/field during the last 5 years (under equal conditions, priority will be given to the contestant who has more publications published abroad);
3. Participation in local and international conferences, seminars and trainings during the last 5 years (under equal conditions preference will be given to candidates with more local and international conferences, seminars and trainings, scientific scholarships and grants);
4. The vision of the courses that the applicant is willing to deliver after occupying academic position;
5. Practical experience in working on educational program and syllabus;
6. Under equal conditions, preference will be given to the contestant with professional work experience in a specific field;
7. Under equal conditions, preference will be given to the contestant whose English language proficiency is confirmed.
8. Applicants for the academic position of Assistant Professor in the disciplines of clinical medicine must have:

Experience of working in the clinic for the last 5 years;

Certificate in relevant/adjacent specialty.

In order to qualify for the academic position of Assistant, the following are required:

The contestant must be a doctoral student of the specialty/educational program within which he/she wants to hold an academic position.

• Applicants for the academic position of an assistant in the disciplines of clinical medicine must be a doctoral candidate in a clinical specialty;
• Possess a relevant/adjacent specialty certificate;

In order to confirm the qualifications of a contestant wishing to hold an academic position on a professional basis, it is necessary to:

• Professional experience of working in the field, which can be confirmed with at least 5 years of practical experience in the relevant field;

Under equal conditions, preference will be given to a contestant who has:

• A scientific degree in another related field;
• Experience in scientific-pedagogical work;
• Works in the relevant field;
• Participation in local and international conferences, seminars and trainings;
• Student of a doctoral program in the relevant field;
• A document confirming the knowledge of the English language.

An applicant for a professional academic position in the disciplines of clinical medicine must have:

• Experience of working in the clinic for the last 5 years;
• Possess a relevant/adjacent specialty certificate;

Contest will be held in two stages:

1. Short-listing candidates based on the submitted documents;
2. Interview of the selected candidates with the committee (online, if necessary).

Contest Terms and Conditions:

Contest statement and appropriate documents must be submitted within the given deadlines;

The documents will be evaluated by the committee in order to define the correspondence of candidates’ applications with main criteria.

The first stage of the contest (evaluating submitted documents) will be held on August 30, 2024.

The second stage of the contest, interview with a contestant (if necessary), will be held on September 2, 2024;

The results will be announced on September 3, 2024.
