The final event of the school-educational project – “Develop Your Region”- was held at Caucasus International University on February 18.
20 schools, composed of X, XI and XII graders of public and private schools of Georgia, participated in the project, which focused on the development of entrepreneurial skills among the youth.
The project participants had a training before the final event, where the participants became familiar with the importance of entrepreneurship, the essence of the idea based on the welfare of society, the basic competencies required for embarking on a business and the techniques of drawing up a business plan.
The training was led by Rusudan Dalakishvili, Head of Postgraduate Program in International Marketing at Caucasus International University, Doctor of Economics, Associate Professor, International Trainer.
At the final event, the members of the committee evaluated the works of the project participants, that placed emphasis on the development of their regions and the implementation of innovative projects on the ground.
Along with Rusudan Dalakishvili, Lali Mikaladze, Associate Professor, Head of the Undergraduate Program in Tourism, and Tea Lazarashvili, Associate Professor, Head of the Undergraduate Program in Finance, were part of the committee.
The event was attended by Professor Jemal Sologhashvili, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Business and Technology at Caucasus International University, and Tea Tsomaia-Osephashvili, Head of the Professional Education Center of Caucasus International University.
Each participant of the event was awarded a certificate for participating in the project, and the teachers also received university branded gifts.
