On November 14, Caucasus International University, in collaboration with Caucasus Medical Center, held a series of events in connection with International Diabetes Day.
With the participation of CIU students, free blood sugar testing using glucometer was available at designated testing stations. This initiative aimed to facilitate the early detection of individuals at risk for diabetes and to promote greater public awareness of the condition.
A public lecture on the topic: “Key Issues in Diabetes Diagnosis and Prevention”, delivered by Nino Tedoradze, endocrinologist and head of the Endocrinology Department at Caucasus Medical Center was offered within the framework of the day.
Please note that Diabetes is among the most prevalent chronic metabolic diseases globally, characterized by elevated blood glucose levels. Supported by the World Health Organization and numerous other organizations, World Diabetes Day is celebrated each year on November 14.
