On November 28, the intra-university stage of the #UNI4VERSE startup competition, organized by the Georgian Innovation and Technology Agency #GITA, was held at Caucasus International University.
The jury panel included: Ketevan Nanobashvili, Dean of the Faculty of Business and Technology at Caucasus International University, Giorgi Kezherashvili, Head of the Technoparks Department at the Georgian Innovation and Technology Agency and David Gorgadze, Assistant to the Executive Director of the Georgian Renewable Energy Development Association.
Three teams presented their innovative projects to the jury at CIU intra-university stage of the #UNI4VERSE startup competition. Among them, the project “Chako” (solar-powered eco-friendly bags) became the winner. The winning team members are: Giorgi Khatiashvili, Aleksandre Begiashvili, Beka Vanadze, Dato Iremadze. It is noteworthy that the teams were guided and prepared for the competition by their mentor, Ia Nadirashvili, Head of CIU Business Incubator.
The winning team “Chako” team will advance to the final stage of the competition and join an acceleration program. The top startup from 18 participating universities will be announced during the Demo Day, scheduled for December 13.
