On May 20, Caucasus International University hosted a public lecture for students of the Faculties of Law, Business and Social Sciences delivered by Tamar Taliashvili, First Deputy Chair of the Education and Science Committee of the Parliament of Georgia and Chair of the PACE Subcommittee on Media and Information Society.
At the meeting, Tamar Taliashvili discussed such issues as: stages of development of intellectual property law, EU research on intellectual property and youth, challenges in copyright law and industrial property law.
The lecture provoked great interest and there was held discussion in question-answer mode towards the end of the meeting. The lecture was conducted in a hybrid format, where students had the opportunity to receive detailed information on intellectual property and youth issues, both online and face-to-face.
It should be noted that during Tamar Taliashvili’s visit, a “Law Club” was established at the Faculty of Law, which aims at promoting the implementation of student activities.
