On April 2, Caucasus International University hosted an exhibition organized by “Step by Step” organization. A collection of poems by the president of the organization, Giorgi Kobalia, “Rebellious Spirit” was presented at the event. In addition, craftwork: felt, beadwork, ceramics, various accessories, paintings and various Easter-themed works.
Caucasus International University administration, students, professors and university chancellor Vakhtang Tsivtsivadze bought handcrafts of people with disabilities participating in the exhibition and expressed their support for the young creativity.
The organization – “Step by Step” has been working on the problems of people with disabilities since 2003 and aims to improve the quality of life of children and adolescents with disabilities, their physical, psycho-social rehabilitation and integration into society. In order to integrate disabled people into the society, various types of events are regularly organized by the organization.
“We would like to appeal to governmental and non-governmental organizations, civil society, and ordinary citizens not to forget that there are people living next to them who only need to create appropriate conditions to demonstrate their skills and abilities, and this, in turn, will contribute to their integration into society”.
At the end of the exhibition, the participants with disabilities were presented gifts purchased with the support of the Department of Culture, Education, Sports and Youth Affairs of Tbilisi City Hall and hygiene products provided by “Aversi Pharma”.
