A training “Short course on Wine Consumer Culture”, organized by the Personnel Management Service of Caucasus International University and the Faculty of Viticulture and Winemaking, was held on June 21 and 23.
At the master class held for specialists and coordinators of various departments/faculties of CIU, the participants learned about such issues as: serving wine; wine tasting; wine and food pairing and etiquette.
The training was led by Saba Kitiashvili, the chief winemaker of “Ethno Okami” LLC; Member of the Tasting Committee of the National Wine Agency; Sommelier of Shumi wine company.
Olani Gotsiridze, Dean of CIU Faculty of Viticulture and Winemaking, welcomed the training participants and placed emphasis on the significance of the training.
The purpose of the training was, on the one hand, to introduce the wine consumer culture, and on the other hand, to socialize the new CIU employees and establish connections/contacts.
