Presentation of the Collections Published by Research Laboratory for International Law was Held at CIU

The presentation of four collections in International, Public, Private and Criminal Law published by the University Research Laboratory for International Law was held at CIU Conference Hall.

The event was opened by Ms. Sesili Gogiberidze, Head of CIU Scientific Research Department. She discussed the importance of scientific research at the university level and placed emphasis on the university achievements from this perspective.

In addition, Ms. Sesili Gogiberidze highlighted internal university grants as well as scientific-research foundations in Georgia and abroad where CIU students and academic personnel participate with specific project proposals. The head of Scientific Research Department provided information about CIU annual international conference which is open for student of all three stages of higher education.

Mariam Jikia, head of the Research Laboratory for International Law delivered a presentation. She presented a brief report of 2017 to the attending audience and discussed to research projects:

1. Obligations Undertaken by Georgia under the Association Agreement with the European Union and Their Significance;
2. Peculiarities of Jury Trial in Georgia and Abroad.

In her speech, the head of the Research Laboratory for International Law highlighted four publications in international, public, private and criminal law issued in September, 2018. The works of CIU students of the Faculty of Law as well as the papers by Law School students of various higher education institutions in Georgia were published there. It is worth mentioning that the Laboratory publishes annual Collection of Students’ Scientific Works - Significant Issues in Law.

Vladimer Macharashvili, Dean of the Faculty of Law and Tamar Nadirashvili, Deputy Head of International Relations Department in the Direction of International Students Recruitment and Service delivered speeches during the presentation.

The speakers congratulated the authors with the achieved success and expressed their hope that they will continue collaboration in future with the Laboratory as well as the university.

The authors of the collection focused on gained experience at the concluding part of the presentation and expressed their gratitude towards every individual who took part in the implementation of the project for their support.
