Caucasus International University student startup “Chako” became the winner in the nomination “People’s Choice” team category. The event was organized by the Georgian Innovation and Technology Agency (GITA) within the framework of UNI4VERSE competition. The team managed to earn well-deserved recognition, along with a unique opportunity to participate in GITA acceleration program at their incubator.
UNI4VERSE is one of the largest projects aimed at stimulating interest and engagement in innovation and technology among universities and students.
The main theme of the 2024 competition was green economy and technology. The project was held for the first time and identified universities and students who stand out with innovative ideas.
18 universities from all over Georgia participated in the competition. Three of them won prizes, and “Chako” became the winner in the nomination People's Choice. This recognition once again highlighted the significance of student initiatives and technological progress.
“Chako” is a unique, solar-powered smart backpack that is not only designed to carry things, but also provides charging of the user’s gadgets at any time - all this with the help of eco-friendly energy!
“Chako” aims to: combine comfort and environmental responsibility using solar energy; offer consumers sustainable and innovative technological solutions; popularize the eco-friendly products of the future.
“Chako” was created in “Business Incubator” at the Faculty of Business and Technology of Caucasus International University. The project mentor is Ia Nadirashvili.
