Another meeting and a scientific conference of the International Academy of Sciences was held in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan on August 31.
By the decision of the Academy’s highest body, upon the recommendation of the Azerbaijani section, Vakhtang Maisaia, Professor and a member of the Academic Council at Caucasus International University, as well as the supervisor of the Master’s Program in Global Politics and Security Studies offered in English language, Doctor of Political Science, was elected as a corresponding member of the Academy. He was awarded a diploma confirming his membership and received the badge.
It should be noted that International Academy of Sciences was founded in 1982 and it has a high international scientific and academic status.
The professor and already a corresponding member of the Academy made a special English-language report on the topic: “Factor Globalization in Climate Change Geopolitics and Its Implication on Regional Security Provisions on the case of the Caucasus-Caspian Region” at the conference held in Baku, and together with other members of the Academy presented an international collective monograph, which was published in Austria under the auspices of the International Academy of Sciences with the title: “Science Without Borders” (Volume #7 2023-2024, ISSN 2070-0334). His scientific article on the topic: “The Geoeconomic Implications on the South Caucasus Regional Security Provisions: “Middle Transit Corridor” and Its Geopolitical Development” was included in the above-mentioned volume, which is distinguished by a high Impact Factor.
In addition, a special international organizing committee was established at the Baku meeting, which was initiated by the representatives of the Academy of Sciences of Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan and China, and envisages the establishment of the International Academy of Sciences of Asia. Professor Vakhtang Maisaia, representing Georgia at this prestigious international academic forum, was elected as the international advisor to the committee in the field of science.
Additionally, at the next session of the International Academy of Sciences, the candidacy of Alika Guchua, Associate Professor at Caucasus International University and Doctor of Political Science, will be presented for membership in the Academy Youth Scientific Committee.
