On May 1, the new head of the “Business Incubator” project was introduced at the Faculty of Business and Technology of Caucasus International University.
Marika Kldiashvili, the dean of CIU Faculty of Business and Technology, and Nana Gadelia, the head of strategic projects of the faculty, introduced Ia Nadirashvili, General Director of the international company Store Next Georgia, FMCG retail and commercial expert as the head of the “Business Incubator” and wished her success in her future work.
The new head of the project spoke about the importance of the “Business Incubator” project and introduced the vision of the project development to the audience.
As Ia Nadirashvili mentioned, the goal of the project is to apply the acquired knowledge in practice, raise entrepreneurial awareness and go through the full incubation process. “Practice without knowledge is an illusion - knowledge without practice – chaos” - it was noted at the meeting.
One of the main goals of the project is to transform an idea into a business model for operating an organization that creates a valuable product, has a demand and has a suitable buyer.
“If you want to get investment, show them that you can build a business. Create something important, something new, not for money, but to change the world for the better” - these words belong to the businessman and investor, Arthur Rock, and Ia Nadareishvili discussed with the audience the mentioned approach and placed emphasis on the ways of its implementation in practice.
“Entrepreneurship begins with a strong heart, which strengthens its inspiration, inner passion and thinking, because it is practically impossible to have a precisely assembled business model at the initial stage of company creation”, - it was noted at the presentation.
Ia Nadareishvili also talked about triggers, thinking model and successful Georgian startups.
On the same day, Tea Goguadze, the founder of the successful Georgian company “Guruli”, appeared before the audience, who reviewed the vicissitudes of the company establishment and its development path. It should be noted that “Guruli” company, which is focused on constant expansion, produces Mchadi flour, Gherghili and two types of Guruli seasoning, and sells them all over the country, and plans to expand to the foreign market in the future.
For your reference, within the framework of Caucasus International University “Business Incubator” project, the process of business incubation consists of four stages: selection of incubation teams; conducting the process or making the primary products with the support of a mentor; establishing a business model / plan; demonstration day / awarding teams.
