On June 1, a pediatric medical conference was held under the title: “Share Experience - Rare Cases in Pediatrics” in connection with the International Children’s Day.
The conference, which was headed by Ekaterine Kipiani, was co-organized by Caucasus International University, Pediatric Board Vian and the Pediatric Service of Ivane Bokeria University Hospital.
The conference brought together 200 delegates from across the country. M. Iashvili Children’s Central Hospital, Iv. Bokeria University Hospital, I. Tsitsishvili Children’s Hospital, M. Iashvili Batumi Maternal and Child Central Hospital and West Georgia Medical Center doctors discussed rare and interesting clinical cases. The practical symposium was also attended by the specialists of primary health care.
19 interesting and rare clinical cases were presented at the conference. The diagnosis and management of such special diseases as Alstrom syndrome, cerebral stroke in childhood, tracheal hemangioma, management of complications developed in the post-Covid period with a patient suffering from Nager syndrome and many others were discussed. All adjacent fields of pediatrics (child resuscitation, surgery, nephrology, neurology, neonatology, general therapy, rheumatology) were covered.
