“NATO Week” was opened in connection with the 75th anniversary of the establishment of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) on April 3. The event was organized by the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities of Caucasus International University and NATO and EU Research Center of the University.
The week opened with a public lecture delivered by Tornike Parulava, Director of the Euro-Atlantic Integration Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, on the topic: “Process, Challenges and Prospects of Georgia’s Euro-Atlantic Integration”.
Within the framework of the lecture, the speaker reviewed the current issues related to NATO, the organization’s expansion policy, integration issues of Georgia and the opportunities and challenges on this path. After the main presentation, the meeting continued in a question-and-answer format.
Within the framework of the lecture, Irina Shamiladze, Deputy Director of the Information Center on NATO and EU, and Ekaterine Chalaganidze, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities of Caucasus International University, addressed the audience.
The event was moderated by the head of the NATO and European Union Research Center of Caucasus International University, Advisor to the Rector, Giorgi Pareshishvili.
The public lecture was held as part of the NATO Week with the support of the Information Center on NATO and EU.
Please note that, within the framework of the week, public lectures and student round table continue for three days at the university.
