During the meeting, Mrs. Sopho Kiladze, head of International Legal Cooperation Division of the International Relations Department of MIA informed students about the law on “New Psychoactive Substances” drafted by the initiative of the Ministry which will be effective from 1 May. In accordance to the above mentioned law manufacture, production, purchases, keeping, transportation, transfer or distribution, in addition illegal taking into or out of the territory of Georgia of new psychoactive substances will be prohibited and correspondingly, such actions will be the subject of criminal responsibility. The meeting was held in the form of question-responses.
The narcologist, Zurab Sikharulidze explained to students the hazardous impact of so called “Bio drugs”. Within the frames of the campaign, MIA representatives presented a video to students. Slogan of the campaign is – “Changing Attitude Together”, aim of the campaign is the prevention of the consumption of bio drugs and providing public with information.
