♦ Media Studies and Multimedia Production – 2500 GEL
Program covers: 120 credits;
Length: 2 academic years, 4 semesters
Qualification to be awarded: Master of Social Sciences in Media Studies
Program modules: The major compulsory academic course module envisages several basic modules: Module of Fundamental Principles and Theories of Media which unites: Modern Theories of Mass Communication; World Information Map; Information Strategies; 1 and 2 Audio-Visual Forms of Communication. The research academic course module plays a key role in developing MA student as a researcher. It incorporates the following courses: Forms and Technologies of Media Studies; Media in Post-Soviet Georgia; Tendencies of Local Media in Georgia. Academic course module oriented on studying technologies places emphasis on teaching the specificity of multimedia. It unites the following courses: web programming; Writing for Multimedia; Multimedia Technologies 1 and 2; Tools of Media Formatting (Technologies and Content).
