What are Postgraduate Studies?
- Master's level is the second stage of higher education in Georgia;
- The postgraduate degree program includes elements of scientific research and aims to train a postgraduate specialist;
- Upon completion of the postgraduate educational program, the graduate is awarded a Master's degree.
Who can apply for a postgraduate program?
A person with a Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent academic degree has the right to study for a Master’s degree on the basis of a General Master’s Exam, internal/external mobility or without passing a General Master’s Exam in accordance with the rules established by the legislation of Georgia.
What is the procedure after passing the General Master’s Exam?
In case of successfully passing General Master’s Exam, a candidate must pass the internal university exam based on the rules provided by the specific program.
The following documents must be submitted by a Master’s candidate upon registration at the University:
- A copy of ID/passport;
- A document verifying qualification (Bachelor’s Degree Diploma and a certificate of awarding qualification);
- 2 photos 3X4; printed and an electronic version (on Disc);
- A copy of military conscription (for male students only);
- Certificate of foreign language proficiency on minimum B2 level.
Candidates’ examination results for the Master’s degree program will be published on the official website of the University. Master’s degree student status is obtained after the publication of the results, based on the signing of the study agreement within the deadline set by the University.
