Rules for Enrollment in Undergraduate / One-Cycle Programs
Caucasus International University (CIU) Bachelor’s degree is the first stage of academic higher education.
The undergraduate education program awards a Bachelor’s degree.
Student status is obtained in accordance with the regulations established by law according to “Student Admission Contingency Planning and Student Enrollment Rules”.
Student status is obtained, at the first level of higher education, after passing the Unified National Examinations in accordance with the current legislation of Georgia, as well as in cases defined by the legislation without passing the Unified National Examinations.
A person with a full general education, who has a relevant document (school leaving certificate) certified by the state or its equivalent, and who, based on the results of the Unified National Examinations, obtains the right to study in the program and passes the administrative registration within the timeframe set by the University.
Documents required for administrative registration:
- Statement;
- Original of general education certificate (school leaving certificate);
- Copy of ID;
- 2 photos 3X4, together with an electronic version;
- Proof of military registration (only for persons who are subject to military registration).
Upon completion of the administrative registration, the Rector’s order on enrollment of entrants is issued.
Studying at the University without passing the Unified National Examinations in accordance with the rules established by the legislation of Georgia is allowed for:
- Citizens of foreign counties and stateless people who have received complete general or education or its equivalent in a foreign country;
- Georgian citizens who have received complete general education or its equivalent in a foreign country and have studied in a foreign country for the last 2 years of complete general education;
- Citizens of foreign counties (except students participating in a joint higher education program and students participating in an exchange education program) who study/have studied and received credits/qualifications in a higher education institution recognized in a foreign country in accordance with the legislation of that country;
- Georgian citizens (except for students participating in the joint higher education program and students participating in the exchange education program) who live/lived, study/ have studied and received credits/qualifications in a foreign country for a period of time defined by the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia (hereinafter referred to as Ministry) in a higher education institution recognized in accordance with the law.
The University conducts interviews to determine the language proficiency of those willing to study at the university without passing the Unified National Examinations and provides access of the interview recording to the Ministry of Education.
