We are talking about women rights - a screening of the film “Anna’s Life” will be held within the framework of the public meeting.
The event is organized by CIU Faculties of Social Sciences and Humanities and Law.
Speakers:
Nino Basilia – a film director, playwright, director of the movie “Anna’s Life”;
Rusudan Kvaratskhelia – a film critic, producer of CIU Multimedia Center;
Bela Pipia – a jurisprudent, head of the Investigation Quality Analysis and Assessment Division of the Department of Human Rights Protection and Investigation Quality Monitoring of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia.
About the film – “Anna's Life” tells about the life of a young Georgian single mother, who decides to go to the USA to work in order to improve the life of herself and her autistic son. However, the American embassy does not issue her a visa, and it is very expensive to get to America in other ways. And yet, the woman takes a risk: she sells the house and gives the money to an unknown man who promises her a visa to the “land of dreams”. In fact, he is a common balck-leg, who turns Anna’s life upside down. Actress Eka Demetradze plays the lead role in the film.
