On March 23, a public meeting on the topic: “Prohibition of Discrimination and Informal Employment” was held at CIU. The event was organized by Georgian Trade Unions Confederation (GTUC) and Caucasus International University.

The public meeting was held within the framework of the project – “Legal Proceedings, Advocacy and Raising Awareness to Ensure Equality in Labor Relations”.

At the meeting, the speakers, Tamar Gabisonia, the Regional Coordinator of International Lawyers Network for Assisting Defending Workers’ Rights in Europe and Asia, and Tamar Surmava, Deputy Chairperson of Georgian Trade Unions Confederation spoke about the forms of discrimination and the legal status of women in informal employment.

The meeting was attended by the academic and administrative staff of the Faculty of Law as well as Caucasus International University students of the Faculty of Law.
