Wine Tasting Master Class

A master class in wine tasting will be held in wine cellar Kolkhi within the framework of International Science and Innovation Festival at CIU, II Building. The event is intended for students, academic and scientific circles and other interested individuals.

• The participants will become familiar with the types, goals and rules of sensory analysis; Basics of degustation theory and techniques;
• Specific terminology of wine description, color, transparency, taste, aroma and bouquet assessment criteria;
• Experience the use of special tests to identify different aroma of wine.

The master class will be conducted by Saba Kitiashvili, a graduate of CIU Faculty of Viticulture-Winemaking, Master of Agrarian Sciences, a member of National Wine Agency’s Tasting Commission and sommelier of international level (the second level of WSET).
