Georgian Diplomacy Week was opened at Caucasus International University on November 4. The series of events organized by the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities in partnership with the Life-Long Learning and Career Development Service, is dedicated to Georgian diplomacy day.
The first lecture of the week was delivered by Grigol Magrakvelidze, Deputy Director of the Department of Human Resources Management at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia. He made presentation on the topic: Diplomatic Service and Career Steps.
The speaker introduced the audience to the functions and tasks of the diplomatic service, the regulatory legislation, the structure of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, career steps in the diplomatic service, professional development and employment opportunities, and at the end of the meeting he answered the questions of the audience.
Before the lecture, Ekaterine Chalaganidze, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities of Caucasus International University, and Alika Guchua, Deputy Dean, the head of the Undergraduate Program in International Relations, welcomed the speaker and the audience.
Please note that November 3, celebrated as the Day of Georgian Diplomacy, was established as a professional holiday in 2004. This date honors the birthday of Sulkhan-Saba Orbeliani, a prominent Georgian writer and public figure.
Each year, Caucasus International University marks this occasion with Georgian Diplomacy Week, an event offering various public lectures and professional activities.
