On May 1, Caucasus International University and the Patriarchate Education Center signed a memorandum of understanding.
Kakhaber Kordzaia, CIU Rector and Archpriest Noe Gugutsidze welcomed the audience at the event and they both highlighted the significance of the partnership.
Under the agreement, CIU will offer a 40% internal scholarship to graduates of schools affiliated with the Patriarchate Education Center enrolled at the university. Additionally, the collaboration includes professional orientation programs for seniors, preparatory courses for national exams, and a variety of cognitive and educational projects. Moreover, Caucasus International University will implement retraining programs for the directors and teachers of the Education Center.
The Memorandum of Understanding was signed by Kakhaber Kordzaia, Rector of Caucasus International University and Metropolitan Ioane Gamrekeli, Chairman of the Patriarchate Education Center.
During the meeting the following presentations were made: Giorgi Pareshishvili, Advisor to the Rector of Caucasus International University - “From School to University - Challenges and Expectations”, Marine Ugulava, Coordinator of School-Educational Projects of Public Relations Service - “Presentation of Implemented Projects” and Davit Gvetadze, Head of the Strategic Communications Department - “The Role of Parents and Teachers on the Path to Choosing a Profession”.
At the end of the event, the participants were awarded certificates for attending the session offered by Caucasus International University: “Career Orientation and Academic Readiness”.
The meeting was attended by clergy, directors, teachers, and representatives of the university administrative/academic staff.
