Nata Dzvelishvili, Executive Director of the Georgian Charter of Journalistic Ethics and Nino Narimanashvili, Editor of Media-Checker presented the new Textbook for Ethical Coverage in Media, part 2 at Caucasus International University Library on October 17, 2018. The meeting was planned for the third-year students of the Faculty of Social Sciences specializing in Journalism within the framework of the academic discipline “Conflict Coverage” (supervisor, CIU Dean Irina Ghvineria). However, every interested student was welcome to attend. The students and speakers focused on various cases; in addition, an interesting discussion was held on self-regulation issues and principles of ethical and moral journalism during the book presentation. It is worth mentioning that the topic for the future lecture-discussion was planned at the meeting held on October 17. The presenters will provide concrete information on private security of a journalist and listen to their position. We would like to remind you that CIU Faculty of Social Sciences traditionally collaborates with The Georgian Charter of Journalistic Ethics. Nata Dzvelishvili, Head of the Charter and Salome Achba, Head of Media-Checker presented the first part of the Textbook for Ethical Coverage to CIU students in May, 2017.
