“We have decided to make our contribution in solving the problem and help our state with charity after declaring tough demographic situation in the country. We are implementing several initiatives in the direction of demographic development:
We consider the new initiative interesting, based on which a nursery school will be constructed. The nursery school will be free for the university staff and students on behalf of Caucasus International University. In addition, we have planned a number of activities for big families and socially vulnerable ones. We would like Caucasus International University to be distinct not only by high level of teaching but to make a special contribution in solving general national problems.”
Mr. Dimitri Khundadze, a member of Parliamentary majority congratulated the university professors and invited guests on Christmas and New Year. He noted that during this tough demographic condition, each individual’s and organization’s contribution is vital. Mr. Dimitri Khundadze introduced the latest statistical data to the society:
“There has been decrease in birth rate during the last three years. Despite the fact that in the last six years we have been implementing a demographic policy consistently, the problem is so immense that only the government cannot solve it. Nowadays, charity implemented in order to encourage birth is vital for our country. Caucasus International University has been collaborating with Georgian Parliament on working out and implementing demographic policy during the last six years. During this period the university has funded and published five books on demographic studies which were necessary for working out security concept of state demography that was adopted by the Parliament in 2016. In addition, the university has provided financial support for the newspaper Georgian Demography for two years. The newspaper was available for almost every municipality and it informed the population about the existing demographic condition.
I would like to wish Merry Christmas to Georgia from this university. Caucasus International University and Mr. Vakhtang Tsivtsivadze are the perfect examples of how to be concerned and love your country. I wish many universities and organizations would follow and imitate this university. Not only authorities but every citizen should care about the survival of Georgia genes. I would like to thank Mr. Tsivtsivadze and the university staff. I wish happy New Year and Merry Christmas to Georgia and wish them the most important – a lot of new lives.”
