The Higher Education Sectoral Council of “Viticulture and Winemaking” was established in the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement.
Olani Gotsiridze, Associate Professor, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Dean of the Faculty of Viticulture and Winemaking of Caucasus International University, head of Undergraduate and Postgraduate programs in Georgian Viticulture and Winemaking, was appointed as the chair of the council.
The Council also includes representatives of the Faculty of Viticulture and Winemaking of Caucasus International University: Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, Associate Professor Irma Mdinaradze, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, Associate Professor Maya Mirvelashvili and the founder of “Spring Fields” LLC, CIU consultant-winemaker Saba Kitiashvili.
The Higher Education Sectoral Council of “Viticulture and Winemaking”, which is authorized for a term of 2 years, consists of 16 members in total.
The purpose of the creation of the above-mentioned council is to prepare relevant sectoral characteristics for the existing educational programs in the field of viticulture and winemaking, which will regulate in detail the scope of compatibility of qualifications and will be a guiding document for higher educational institutions in the process of establishing/modifying the learning outcomes of educational programs relevant to the field.
