The closing ceremony of Tbilisi Student Festival 2018 was held. The event, which was organized by Tbilisi City Hall included wide-scale sport and cultural events. More than 30 000 students from 23 state and public higher educational institutions in Tbilisi participated in them.
About 600 Georgian and international students were represented on behalf of Caucasus International University at the closing ceremony. The representatives of the University Student Self-Governance, Services of Youth Affairs, Sports and Culture and Public Relations, Administration and the Office of the Deans became actively engaged in organizing the event.
The event was attended by Mr. Mamuka Bakhtadze, Prime-Minister and Mr. Kakha Kaladze, City Mayor. We would like to remind you that Tbilisi Student Festival 2018 has been organized by Georgian Student Organizations Association and with the support of Tbilisi City Hall. A number of sports and cultural events have been held within the frame of the festival. Competitions have been held in six different types of sport; in particular: mini football, volleyball, tennis, street basketball, table tennis and bowling.
The aims of the festival are:
To promote healthy lifestyle;
To develop student life;
To boost student motivation and to facilitate the realization of their talent.
The event was attended by Ms. Sophio Khuntsaria, Deputy Tbilisi Mayor and Mr. Irakli Gvilava, Head of Municipal Department of Culture, Education, Sports and Youth Affairs, students, representatives of local and international organizations and university rectors together with the Tbilisi Mayor.
