Professor George Khatidze, Dean of the Faculty of Law at Caucasus International University and Professor Zviad Gabisonia, Advisor to the Chancellor on Science and Innovation, are on a working visit to Tallinn, Estonia.
Within the framework of the visit, a meeting was held at the Estonian Digital Governance Academy (eGA) with Arvo Otto, Head of Digital Strategy, Ants Urvak, Manager of External Relations; Riina Kala, Communications Expert and other senior leaders. The discussion covered the opportunities and challenges of advancing digital governance in Georgia from scientific, academic and practical perspectives. In addition, key topics included the experience of Estonia with high-tech electronic signatures (Mobile ID and Smart ID), cybersecurity in digital governance, and the potential for incorporating artificial intelligence.
It should be noted that the visit was planned within the framework of Professor George Khatidze and Professor Zviad Gabisonia’s ongoing project – “Legal-Technological Challenges of Implementing Digital Governance in Georgia (based on the experience of Estonia)”, which is the winning project of the internal grant competition of Caucasus International University and is implemented with the financial support of the university.
