Caucasus International University students of BA program in Law – Konstantine Ebralidze and Alexandre Kalandadze as well as MA student – Nino Taktakishvili participated in the simulated court organized by “Innovations and Reforms Centre” on behalf of the university (CIU).
In order to become engaged into the project, graduate students of the Law and International Law Faculty of Higher Educational Institutions throughout Georgia participated in two stages. The committee selected the teams registered for the simulated court based on their cover letters.
Five teams together with Caucasus International University team moved to the next, oral round.
The oral round of the moot court was held on December 16 in the simulated courtroom of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University with the participation of CIU students. At the trial, which referred to the issues of citizenship and not having citizenship, CIU represented a paintiff and the defendant was a team made up of Georgian Technical University students.
The case was discussed by a three-judge panel and CIU Group was named as the best plaintiff in the process. Along with this victory, Konstantine Ebralidze, CIU student has also won the title of the distinguished participant of the project.
Participants and winners of the moot court were awarded certificates.
