10th International Forum on Local Economic Development (LED) has taken place in the capital of Georgia since 2007. The event was organized by Tbilisi City Hall was held at “The Biltmore Hotel Tbilisi” on 13-14 September. It was attended by Caucasus International University third-year students of BA Program in Tourism and Program supervisor Lali Mikeladze.
It should be noted that the representatives from all over the world like USA, Austria, England, Germany and Holland were engaged in the forum. The forum offered 16 thematic sessions: effective management, cities for economic growth, energo-effectiveness, cities of future, tourism development, innovative positioning, etc.
The forum has been established as a decent platform for collaboration between local and international experts, private and public sector and has been discussing the issues related to the development of municipalities since 2007.
The forum was moderated by 16 moderators. CIU representatives together with the attending audience listened to 100 presentations, out of which 50 was made by invited presenters.
