Within the frameworks of Master’s degree programme in viticulture-winemaking of Caucasus International University, at the faculty of viticulture-winemaking and agricultural technologies, the university chancellor and the representatives of the faculty have cultivated seventy-seven different species of wine.
The faculty aims at preparing high-qualified professionals who will analyze the development of Georgian viticulture-winemaking traditions. Therefore, this field will be more thoroughly studied. In the educational programme emphasis will be placed on the production and peculiarities of church wine – Zedashe.
In addition, it is worth mentioning that in order to implement the practical components of the programme in a accordance to high standards a unique material-technical base - Scientific-Research Centre of Viticulture-Winemaking has been created. It will facilitate the research component.
A permanent working group of academic staff having both ethnographic and practical experience has been created at university multimedia centre. They have planned to prepare scientific-informative-popularizing films which will depict history and development of viticulture-winemaking.
