At the closing ceremony they demonstrated a film “Aliyev and Georgia” directed by Davit Abdaladze. The film made emphasis on Georgia-Azerbaijan relations. Ali Babaev admitted that the joint conference dedicated to the president of Azerbaijan and organized by Caucasus International University and Georgia-Azerbaijan Congress was of great significance. Consequently, young generation learnt more about this outstanding political figure, “He was an individual who loved Georgia and Georgian people”, - Ali Babaeva said.
“Caucasian cooperation is of great importance for our University. Georgia-Azerbaijan relations serve as a key element in such type of collaboration. It is crucial that students realize who Heiydar Aliyev was.
He was not merely a political figure but had acquired a number of social roles. He was not only a leader of Azerbaijan, but one of the leaders of Caucasus and politician of international level” – stated Aleksandre Rusetski.
According to Giorgi Davidov, 3rd year student of the faculty of international affairs of Caucasus International University, this day was significant from different standpoints. “9 May is a day of victory over Fascism, which is also celebrated as a Europe Day.
Our university celebrated the 90th anniversary of Heydar Aliyev. Currently, a number of Azerbaijanian students study at our university and they are actively engaged in studying process. Therefore, I consider such activities crucial from the standpoint of mutual collaboration.
It is also noteworthy that we meet up to the expectations concerning the name of the institution – it is really a university of Caucasian significance – admitted Giorgi Davidof.
