Telemedicine Center of the Caucasus International University presents a support project for the geriatric population which involves consulting the elderly people and their caregivers on the problems of cognitive impairment.
Cognitive impairment is common in older populations, and its prevalence increases with age. Mild cognitive impairment is an intermediate clinical condition between normal cognitive aging and dementia, which is characterized by difficulties related to memory, language, and thinking, as well as mood and behavioral changes.
Mild cognitive impairment implies a high risk of progression to dementia. On the other hand, it may remain stable or improve. Therefore,…
…early diagnosis of mild cognitive impairment, identification and appropriate management of its possible (especially, reversible) causes are of great importance.
Online consultation involves clinical and objective assessment of a patient, surveying a caregiver, identification of risk-factors and giving relevant recommendations.
Online consultations can be booked in advance.
