    (Network of competence centres for the development of cruise tourism in the Black Sea region (Georgia and Ukraine))

     

    The aim of the project is to facilitate the integration of Black Sea region, in particular Georgia in tourism market by means of the so called Triangle of Knowledge – education, research, innovation. It also strives to create network of competence centres which will provide regional researches of cruise tourism, consultations, qualification and trainings of economic units participating in cruise tourism.     

    Besides Caucasus International University fifteen higher educational institutions from Germany, Italy, Bulgaria, Romania and Ukraine as well as 3 ones from Georgia (Guram Tavartkiladze Teaching University, Batumi State Maritime Academy, Kutaisi University) participate in the project. In addition, the following institutions are also involved in the project:

    1.  National Tourism Administration;
    2.  Adjara Tourism and Resort Departments;
    3.  Batumi Sea Port;
    4.  Odessa Commercial Sea Port;
    5.  Black and Azov Seas Ports Association;
    6.  Tourist companies of Adjara region.
