One of the funny and public festivals “Holi” – festival of colors and love was celebrated spectacularly at Mtatsminda Park. The Festival with such scale and organization was held for the first time in Georgia and one of the sponsors of the event is Caucasus International University.
“Make your day colorful and get to know new people” – this was the main message of the festival which united people of different age groups, religions, interests and background at Mtatsminda Park. “Holi” festival signifies the arrival of spring and it has been celebrated in India for centuries.
Indian believe that during “Holi” kindness always wins over evil, spring defeats winter – this is the festival which is associated with games, entertainment, forgiveness and happiness. Indian people also believe that the more colorful a person returns from the festival more people have wished happiness to this person.
Every individual could participate in the festival. The visitors were given opportunity to taste Indian sweets, Georgian wine and watch Georgian-Indian dances and songs. It is worth mentioning that the festival was covered by Indian Television “News Nation” which was specially invited for this event.
